

1972 Triumph TR6 Restoration


Progress

Replaced the original with a differential from Toyota.

Only one was installed without using the weight of the car.

Rear axle arms were bolted to the differential.

Rear suspension with axle.

Front and rear brakes were installed and the engine was moved to be mounted.

The engine was mounted to the chassis.

Replaced the original 4-speed with a 5-speed from a Toyota Supra.

Wheels were put back on and exhaust was woven through the chassis (not bolted).

Driveshaft was sent to be resized because of the difference in differential and transmission.

The single-stage painted that was closest to Subaru's 'World Rally Blue' was selected.


Three coats of were applied.






Brake lines and fuel lines installed.

Drive shaft and exhaust bolted in.






The front half of the body was placed on the chassis to check make sure the mounting points matched before welding.

The front and back halves were placed on the chassis to align before welding.


Body halves were welded together along with bracing bars.

Rear/Trunk prior to sandblasting in preparation for painting.
